Recently, in a community ritual, Strega Tree was given the following work for anyone who would like to help strengthen the connection between the oceans and the trees.

Strengthening the connection between oceans and trees assists with the general circulation of the planet. Also, tending to the invisible connections in the world around us is important work. It is part of being spiritual steward to the planet. The trees and the oceans would like for us to attend to this work.

It is recommended to do this ritual with the same tree three times, but if you are not near the ocean often and can only do it one time, that is helpful as well.

If you don’t already have a tree you are connected to, begin by finding a tree to work with. You can do this by simply taking the time to be out in nature and listening for or noticing which tree you are attracted to. Go and sit with the tree often, greet it and begin to bring it gifts or offerings: Water, coins, birdseed or milk offered at the base of the tree with love.

Eventually, when you are ready, you will go to the ocean and gather some water. Returning to the tree with the gift of ocean water, offer this again at the base. You may tell the tree this is a gift from the ocean and that you are wishing to help strengthen its relationship and connection to the ocean.

Then you will return to the ocean with a gift from that same tree. It is recommended to keep it simple and let that gift simply be a stick from the larger tree.

At the ocean, offer the stick to the water, telling the ocean who it is from, again stating that you are wishing to help strengthen the connection between that tree and the ocean.

If you wish to deepen your relationship to this tree as you carry out this ritual you are encouraged to ask the tree to teach you as you do this ritual. Ask to be guided and mentored by the tree and listen to what comes through. It may be the beginning of an ongoing energetic relationship with this tree.

This is a small, simple, but profound act.
