Healing Charcoal

Healing Charcoal

Healing Charcoal is one of Strega Tree Apothecary’s strongest medicines to cleanse, heal, extract and metabolize negativity, toxins, poisons, ancestral trauma and karma. It works on the physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies of humans as well as the earth. It is also an activator. It is filled with prayers to and from the particular power of each of the 5 elements : Fire, water, earth, mountain, nature.

Healing Charcoal is made through a long and laborious ritual. It is one of the highly precious and sacred medicines offered to us by the trees.

The image here shows it after it has been ground into a powder. Do not use metal to store, cut or grind your Healing Charcoal. We will send it to you in chunks that you may grind yourself. Sometimes it is nice to use the chunks to draw or write with or as an applicator.

In Case You Missed It: Alchemy of Pain Ritual to Carry Out On Your Own

In Case You Missed It: Alchemy of Pain Ritual to Carry Out On Your Own

Many people expressed that they wished to be at the Alchemy of Pain ritual held by the Strega Tree Collective last week but had conflicting events on their schedule or they were not well enough to come out to the park. Therefore, we are offering a version of it here for you to do yourself or with others.

A note from Theresa on her experience at the ritual:

Strega Tree diviners often say that the style of divination we do is “prescriptive.” This means that rituals are given for the client to carry out on their own based on issues that are diagnosed by the wedeme and kontomble.

I cannot emphasize enough how this is the magic of this style of divination that the Dagara people of Burkina Faso are so generous to share with us. These “hand-crafted” and personalized rituals are the unique signature of this style of divination. While there is so much that comes through in the divinations themselves, you only feel the full power when you carry out the ritual prescriptions.

After being engaged with this work for 13 years, it still surprises, delights and impresses me.

Learn to Become a Spiritual Caretaker of Your Community and the Earth

Learn to Become a Spiritual Caretaker of Your Community and the Earth

Divination is about so much more than one on one interpersonal dialogue. Divination is community medicine. Divination has a much larger role it wishes to play within communities and with the earth. Divination has a public component that is wanting to be explored. It’s time to take it to the community.

There is a wholeness to the medicine that wishes to be articulated.

The Strega Tree Collective has for many years been working on the land with the local spirits and sacred spaces that need tending for the good of the whole. Now we are offering a class to teach others to learn these methods and techniques. The class, taught by Theresa C. Dintino, is based on her newest book: Membranes of Hope.

Overwhelm and the Art of Procrastination

Overwhelm and the Art of Procrastination

How are you holding up lately? With sincerity, I hope that you are healthy, occasionally seeing friends and family in person, and able to pull off most of the tasks at work and home that are required of you.  I (Sarah here) feel like I am riding the wave of stop and go with some finesse. I can never know when my child might be home for a surprise week off of school which can cause me to cancel all of my work.  When we drop back into the rhythm of school, I witness a lack of “get ‘er done abilities” and make poor use of the window of “free” time.  I am full of good intentions to accomplish my long list of tasks, but overwhelm and ADD kick in and I basically walk in circles.  I feel like I might not be alone in this, so I will share what helps me to not feel like I am letting down my team in the other realms.
