Divination is about so much more than one on one interpersonal dialogue. Divination is community medicine. Divination has a much larger role it wishes to play within communities and with the earth. Divination has a public component that is wanting to be explored. It’s time to take it to the community.
There is a wholeness to the medicine that wishes to be articulated.
The Strega Tree Collective has for many years been working on the land with the local spirits and sacred spaces that need tending for the good of the whole. Now we are offering a class to teach others to learn these methods and techniques. The class, taught by Theresa C. Dintino, is based on her newest book: Membranes of Hope.
There are lots of stories told about the planet Venus but how about trying to form an authentic relationship with Venus on your own? How about doing that in the same way you would get to know a new friend. Hopefully you would not only listen to the rumors and the stories told about that person, but find out who they are based on your experience of them and your relationship to them.
In this time where Venus is bright in the night sky and early enough so you don’t have to rearrange your sleep habits to see it, perhaps take some time to sit and look at it and notice what it evokes. How about trying to get to know the planet from your own experience? Sounds fun to me.
If you live in the Northern Hemisphere, especially in the U.S. where we just “turned our clocks back” then you cannot but notice that we have entered the time of darkness. Though the shortest day of the year is December 21, November often feels like the darkest month. Time to slow down and welcome the dark. Traditionally this is done by bringing in the light: lighting candles, putting up twinkly lights, but how about sitting with the dark in the dark and letting it greet your own dark? How about acknowledging the dark with dark instead of light?
Hey Spirit Worker, Your Village has a Membrane that Needs Care and the book to help you learn how to do that is now available in ebook format!
If the living world is made up of lifesystems contained within nested and layered membranes, the importance of the spirit worker attending to the village membrane cannot be underestimated.
What do I mean by spirit worker, village and membrane?
By spirit worker, I mean any human who is called to work on the energetic and spiritual level, with the unseen realms and mostly unseen guides for the purpose of healing, spreading light or affecting change.
Very simply the membrane is the bioenergetic container, boundary, barrier, skin, that protects what is inside from that which is outside. The membrane is permeable, with an intelligence and discernment to decide what gets in and what stays out. The membrane acts as a filter, shield and gatekeeper for what is within the membrane. All lifesystems have membranes from the simple cell to the multicellular, to the complex lifesystems we humans are embedded within. Without a healthy membrane the interior cannot thrive.
