I offer this to you, whomever may want or need it at this time, for a small effort toward healing, calm, inner knowledge, contentment and contemplation during this crisis we are calling Covid-19. A journey within, a time to further explore your own soul, a time for quiet and perhaps even rest.

Journey to the Library of Your Soul

A  guided meditation or journey to find and become familiar with the Library of Your Soul. The Library of the Soul is the place within us that belongs uniquely to us, and to know this place inside is absolutely essential to retaining our power. Allow yourself at least 40 minutes to do this guided meditation. Find a comfortable position, sitting or reclining, with a light covering, in case your temperature drops. Have a journal and pen available in case you wish to sketch or write after the recording Download your free journey here.

The Library of the Soul is a place or space within that feels like a pocket of thick and fecund darkness, a presence of depth and potency. I have my own ways of finding it and feeding it: long, silent walks, writing and reading, pondering and questioning—ruminating. There is information there, which is another reason why I call it a library, information akin to what we call “intuition,” knowing. It is our personal database. This is the place from which arises what are often called “other ways of knowing.”

Dreams live here. We have our own symbols in this place that have special meaning to us and help us make meaning of our lives and experiences. Through our experiences, impressions, memories we create what could be called our own vocabulary of symbols and words, associations. Only we can follow the trails of these breadcrumbs to the nuggets of information that are trying to be revealed to us through all we have stored and accumulated in our library. Some symbols have profound meaning to us that would mean nothing to another. It is important for us to understand our own vocabulary.

Exploring The Library of the Soul often and being in intimate relationship with it can help us understand the meaning we make of things based on our past experiences, intuitions and relationships with all the dimensional realms. We can access memories and dreams from this place to better understand information trying to come through to us. But it is also a place of quiet retreat and reflection for us to go to when we feel depleted and exhausted, weary or worried.

As we continue to go there, it becomes a portal to other times and places and we may experience deep insight. It is a place where we can make connections between seemingly random occurrences; it is a place of deeper understanding. In this space or library, we are no longer separate. In this space uniquely ours, we experience the connectedness of all.

If this spark within us is not appreciated, explored and nurtured, we may experience what is often referred to as “losing ourselves.” We may not have a strong “sense of self” and so look to others to provide that for us. We may look to jobs to do that for us, seek external approval. We may attempt to build ourselves up from the outside in which, in the end, is ineffective because it leaves a hollow core. Everyone has the library of the soul. It is only a matter of acknowledging it, visiting it, experiencing it, and becoming intimate with it. It is important to form a deep relationship with it.

A Meditation Journey, or guided visualization, is a time out of ordinary time to drop into a trance like state and be led on a journey that is therapeutic and restorative.  Guided visualizations allow you to access delta wave lengths where you can heal the subtle body.  These are often also called “shamanic journeys” or “traveling”. You will listen and be led into another dimension. The voice will lead you but it is your own personal psyche’s imagery that will participate in its own way.  Though the recording is the same for everyone, what you bring to it through what lives in your subconscious mind will make the treatment unique for you. As you relax, listen and follow the voice to where you are led, you will access parts of yourself that have been waiting for you.
