Welcoming Amy Tanzman Palmer to our Online Community of Diviners

Strega Tree is proud and pleased to highlight a new diviner in our community: Amy Tanzman Palmer. Amy is a powerful medicine woman, a delightful human and a gift to our circle.

Amy was first introduced to the Dagara through a Kontomble voice divination in 2013. That profound experience changed the trajectory of her life and she eventually found herself walking the path to becoming a diviner herself.

A Ritual and Shrine for the Elemental Beings

A Ritual and Shrine for the Elemental Beings

It’s great to have a place to interact directly with the elemental beings and bring them gifts and food.  They are frisky. Be warned: Things can begin to move around in your home. Conversely you may suddenly find things you thought you lost. But ultimately this is a heart connection. Under these tricky deeds is a being wanting to know your heart. Wanting to trust you. A shy being that wishes to befriend you.

It is true, not all elemental beings like us or want to play with us but those kind won’t come to the call. Some indeed want to be left alone, have nothing to do with humans. Then there is no need to interact with them, unless you are bothering them and they let you know. Of course you should listen to that but with this particular shrine and the following ritual, don’t be afraid to call the wrong kind because they simply won’t come to an invitation to friendship.

Heart Wisdom from the Wedeme: Reconnecting with Our Pattern of Origin

Heart Wisdom from the Wedeme: Reconnecting with Our Pattern of Origin

Each of us comes into this incarnation carrying what the wedeme call a “pattern of origin” or “soul origin pattern.” This we create together with the stars and star beings before we come into embodiment on Earth. This pattern serves as a guide and roadmap to our soul as we make our journey through this Earthly embodiment. Wedeme can see these patterns and help us return to or remember our pattern to more fully actualize our intentions for this Earth journey.

Crossroads Rituals

Crossroads Rituals

Crossroads rituals are often prescribed in divination.* Classically it is when a person is approaching or anticipating a change in their life, or holding a question about making a change. They are told to go, either at dawn or dusk, to a crossroads and leave a quarter, asking the Spirit of the Crossroads to “guide me safely through these crossroads.” They deposit the quarter in the middle of the crossroads and do not look back.

This ritual can have many variations.

What are Shrines and Why Do We Build and Tend to Them?

What are Shrines and Why Do We Build and Tend to Them?

A shrine is a place or object that represents, holds and makes a space for a certain entity, abstract concept, idea or belief. At the shrine, offerings are made or prayers are said to and for what is held there. The practice of building shrines has many functions, some of which are psychological in that they allow us to externalize certain ineffable concepts, like the soul, or a relationship to a powerful but unseen being. Externalizing means giving form to something that we only feel, perceive and understand as untouchable, within or numinous. The practice of externalizing helps us to actively work with them, consider, and care for them in a way that is different from when they remain unseen or are internalized only. With the shrine, we are able to take that relationship, being or concept and place it in a concrete form outside of ourselves, look at it and interact with it in a real time, three-dimensional way.
