The most successful way for accessing what I call the shamanic realm are long, repetitive walks. It takes a while to develop a shamanic walk. You must walk the same walk with only some slight variation at least four times a week for a couple months before it can get to the point where you can begin to listen. In walking the same path everyday for an extended time, the environment, the way, the rhythm, become second nature so that there is nothing unexpected to worry about, no unknowns to wonder about, allowing you to relax and be deeply present to what is there, without and within.
We spend much of our time listening to the trees.
Strega Tree is a collective of diviners, medicine people, Goddess devotees from many traditions and backgrounds but we spend much of our time out in the wild listening to the trees. The trees are teaching us and guiding us how to walk the path: the path of our ancient ancestors, the path of truth. Many come and all are welcomed. There is much healing offered, many gifts to share.
This time has been foretold: The return of ancient medicine lineages to the planet. This is the time our great-grandparents knew would come, the time they have been waiting for, to return the lineages to the Earth, the ones they tucked away for a time such as this. Who will listen? Who will join?
In September of 2016, Theresa C. Dintino gave a talk at Many Rivers Books and Teas in Sebastopol, CA on her Tree Medicine Trilogy of books. The recording of that event has been made available only recently. We thought we would share it here for anyone that may be interested in listening.
Tree resins are fluids (hydrocarbons) secreted from trees. They release these fluids which turn into resins to protect and seal an injury, so in effect, they are a healing and sealing property secreted by the tree for the tree. The fact that we humans and beings in other dimensions can benefit from them (by eating them, using them in essential oils and burning them for their smoke) is a gift from the trees. Though many people use resins, many may easily forget that they are a gift from the trees.
